Moody Rambin employees and their families gave back to the community on Saturday morning at the 26th Annual Trash Bash Event. The non-profit organization, managed by the Texas Conservation Fund, promotes environmental stewardship of Houston’s watershed by utilizing hands-on educational tools and developing partnerships between environmental, government and private organizations. The crew made their way along the wooded areas surrounding Buffalo Bayou in Terry Hershey Park in West Houston with gloves and trash bags in hand.

Trash Bash is the largest single day waterway clean-up event in the State of Texas. Once a year, thousands of volunteers gather along the Texas waterways to do their part in cleaning up the environment and raising awareness of the importance of our water resources. In 2018, more than 85 tons of trash was collected in 14 locations, which is an 40% increase over the past two years and a nine-year high due to Hurricane Harvey, according to the website. About one ton of recyclable material and 356 tires were collected along the 158.5 miles of shoreline during last years event.
