Dan Moody, III is a Partner and Managing Director at Moody Rambin and has more than two decades of real estate development and financing experience. Dan is responsible for project acquisition, development, asset management, financing and disposition. He has overseen the development of more than 2.5 million square feet of retail space, 1.5 million square feet of industrial space and 2,400 residential lots within Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, and Utah.
Notable retail center developments are Town & Country Village and The Shops at Bella Terra. Town & Country Village is home to 90 tenants, including well-known national retailers such as Randall’s, Walgreen’s, Talbots, Ann Taylor, White House | Black Market, Banana Republic, Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, Barnes and Noble, Fleming’s and McCormick & Schmick’s. The Shops at Bella Terra, a 120-acre retail development in the Houston area includes Wal-Mart, Kohl’s, Ross, PetSmart, Best Buy, 24 Hour Fitness, The Sports Authority, Party City, as well as multiple local and regional tenants.
Of the development projects Dan has overseen, The EGL Global Logistic distribution facility in Miami, Florida (400,000 SF) was awarded Excellence in Construction (2006) by the Florida Associated Builders and Contractors. Dan has developed numerous built-to-suit projects for national tenants including WorldCom, Office Depot, Whataburger, Washington Mutual, and The Sports Authority. He continues to oversee all the development and management of owned assets within Moody Rambin and its partnerships.
He serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for Capital Bank and he has been instrumental in their continued expansion plan, which included a five-bank expansion. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Tax Reinvestment Zone #17. Dan and his family are members of River Oaks Country Club, and had also served as the 2013 President for the club.
